Overview

Enables Claude to research travel destinations, read authentic reviews, discover restaurants and attractions, compare prices, and create comprehensive trip plans using Tripadvisor's extensive travel database.

Setup

Configure via canifi-env:

Privacy & Authentication

Your credentials, your choice. Canifi LifeOS respects your privacy.

Option 1: Manual Browser Login (Recommended)

If you prefer not to share credentials with Claude Code:

1. Complete the Browser Automation Setup using CDP mode
2. Login to the service manually in the Playwright-controlled Chrome window
3. Claude will use your authenticated session without ever seeing your password

Option 2: Environment Variables

If you're comfortable sharing credentials, you can store them locally:

canifi-env set SERVICE_EMAIL "your-email"
canifi-env set SERVICE_PASSWORD "your-password"

Note: Credentials stored in canifi-env are only accessible locally on your machine and are never transmitted.

Authentication Flow

1. Navigate to tripadvisor.com via Playwright MCP
2. Click "Sign In" and enter email
3. Complete password verification
4. Handle email confirmation if required
5. Verify saved trips accessible
6. Maintain session for trip planning

Error Handling

• Login Failed: Try Google/Facebook OAuth
• Search No Results: Broaden search criteria
• Review Loading Slow: Wait and retry
• Session Expired: Re-authenticate automatically
• Rate Limited: Wait 90 seconds (strict limits)
• Location Not Found: Suggest alternatives

Self-Improvement Instructions

After each interaction:

• Track review patterns and reliability
• Note price comparison accuracy
• Log popular destination trends
• Document UI changes

Suggest updates when:

• Tripadvisor updates interface
• New booking integrations added
• Review system changes
• Trip planning features updated

Notes
