HIPAA Technical Safeguards

Data Minimization

  • Collect only what's needed for the stated purpose
  • Set retention policies with automatic deletion
  • Pseudonymize where possible (replace PII with tokens)
  • Anonymize for analytics (k-anonymity, differential privacy)

PCI-DSS Key Controls
